No tracking cookies, no advertising cookies, no third-party scripts. We ask one thing: whether Google Analytics may count. Say no and nothing happens — the checker works exactly the same.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
v_<slug> | sessionStorage | Remembers that this page was already counted, so one visit is not counted twice. | Until you close your tab. |
_ga, _ga_* | cookie | Google Analytics: a random visitor number so two visits from the same browser count as one visitor. Only after you allow it. | 2 years (Google). Declining or withdrawing removes them on the next visit. |
idv_consent | cookie | Remembers your cookie choice. Only set once there is something to choose. | 6 months. |
The first and the last rows are strictly necessary: without the first a single visit would count twice, the last remembers your choice. The Google Analytics cookies only arrive if you switch "Statistics" on.
With your consent, Google Analytics 4 counts which pages are visited, for how long and from which country, with the IP address anonymised. Also which kind of check you ran (domain or phone number) and the verdict, not what you checked. Google Ireland Ltd processes this for us as a processor; processing may take place in the United States under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. We keep the reports for 14 months.
You can withdraw consent at any time. This button clears your choice and the Analytics cookies and asks again.
